Lilia Roo, the kangaroo! I had created her as a character at the beginning of 2020. Since then, she has been by fursona.
I commissioned a fursuit of Lilia Roo from Luno Wroo / WildspotWorks in 2021. For photos in the present, please see FurTrack, but for the making of the fursuit, look no further!
Luno received my duct tape dummy and taped it back together.
The shape of the bodysuit came together, and Luno built the foam tail structure. It's made of a few large foam pieces that are kept close with an inner belt loop, but to keep the tail from becoming rigid, small pieces of irregularly-shaped foam are glued around the slits for the belt. That way, even when tightened, my tail still sways as I walk.
Lilia's bodysuit had its fur added. I'm so happy Luno was able to make the pouch work. It has been so incredibly helpful being able to keep my phone, keys, and everything else I need in there while I'm out fursuiting.
With all the fur added, Lilia was ready for shipping! It was easiest to ship the bodysuit and tail when they were complete, then the paws and head later, so there was never a full Lilia at any one time in Luno's workshop.
Luno started work on Lilia's head and created her handpaws. Luno's process for making fursuit heads involves creating a 3D model, which was really cool to see!
Here's the head and footpaws! They have split claws :3
And with that, the fursuit was complete, and the other half shipped! I've been so happy with how much joy it's brought people in the five years I've had it (as of writing), and I hope to get many more years out of her. Luno did an incredible job, and I recommend commissioning him if you are looking for a maker for a kangaroo fursuit.
